Class Christmas Party begins at 2:30pm. You are invited to join us for food, fun and fellowship. I believe that three of our students are moving over the break. While we celebrate the holdiays, it will also be a time for us to say goodbye and wish them abundant blessings as they transfer to new neighborhoods and schools.

There will also be an iBucks reward assembly on the 19th at 2 pm for 6th graders. The big-ticket item for the iBucks competition this quarter will be a $50 Visa Gift Card. This card can be used anywhere where a standard Visa card is accepted which gives students an amazing assortment of possibilities!
Christmas Break will begin at 3:30 pm on 19 December. Students will return to school at 8:30 am on Monday, 5 January 2009.
Merry Christmas to each and every one of you! The first semester has flown by! I hope and pray that everyone has a wonderful holiday break filled with friends and family. This holiday season will be made bright by the fact that my parents, grandmother, brother and nephew from Illinois are going to visit us.
My husband will return from Iraq on 28 December. While we are saddened that he will not make it home before Christmas, we are excited that he will be returning very shortly. This deployment has made for a difficult and long year, but the hope that we have for the future is wonderful. I can not thank all of you enough for your prayers and words of encouragement during this time.
Due to my husband’s return, I will be out of the classroom the first week of January. Miss Cindy Hoover will be in the classroom that week. She has been our substitute this year when I have gone to my classes at University of Missouri-Columbia. She does an outstanding job teaching and managing students. Your children will be in great hands while I am away.
Be safe and enjoy the holidays. I hope you have a season full of great memories and a great start to 2009.
Blessings,
Mrs. K.

I hope that you all were able to spend Thanksgiving with family and friends. We were blessed to have the opportunity to travel home to Illinois over the holiday weekend. The kids and I completely surprised my in-laws. We ended up having three Thanksgiving meals in three days! We were able to count so many blessings as we enjoyed hours of food and fellowship with our family and friends…some of whom we had not seen in quite some time.
We have only 15 days of school between Thanksgiving and Christmas break. The end of the 2nd quarter and 1st semester is on 19 December. We know that there are plenty of viruses and illnesses running rampant, and we appreciate you making such a valiant effort to get your children to school every day.
Have a wonderful week!
Blessings,
Mrs. K.
