Thank you for your patience with the Edublog issues we have been having. The Edublogs site has not been cooperating to publish the weekly updates. Thankfully, they tell me that they have resolved the issue.
Just a reminder that we WILL HAVE SCHOOL next Monday, March 23rd. I realize that some of you may already have travel plans and were not anticipating the loss of that day of vacation. However, school will be in session and we will have our regular Monday release time at 3pm.
Tuesday afternoon, LTC Kiesewetter will be visiting our class to share his experiences from his tour in Iraq. The students are eager to meet him and to ask lots of questions!
MAP Testing for Communication Arts and Math will be taking place April 14th and 15th. Please try to arrange any doctor or dentist appointments around these dates. It is extremely important that your child is present during these two days.
Grade cards went home last Friday. The bottom portion of the grade slip needs to be returned by this Friday. Please take some time to discuss your child’s progress and set goals for 4th quarter.
Have a super week!
Blessings,
Mrs. K

I want to offer a HUGE thank you to the parents who contributed time, energy, and treats for our wonderful Valentine’s party. The games were so much fun, the food was super and everyone seemed to have a great time. Thank you for supporting our class and the students. This week we have also welcomed two new students to our class!!
In Math, students are studying transformations of geometric shapes. This is a very intense and difficult topic that takes a great deal of time and patience. Some students “see” it right off the bat, and others struggle before grasping the concept. We are finishing up our unit on Volcanoes in Science and will test over Chapter 3 next Monday and Wednesday.
Have a wonderful week!
